DJ Casanova was the consummate professional who delivered on everything me and my wife dreamed of for our wedding entertainment experience. All of the guests were dancing and there was never a dull moment in the wedding thanks to DJ Casanova's music selection. DJ Casanova has played at many family events on both my side and my husband’s. It was only appropriate that we hire him for our wedding and he did not disappoint!
If you’ve had a good time at a wedding or event in the DC/Maryland/VA area, chances are it was DJ Casanova that got you moving.
You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office we just call him Jamie. Back in the day he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman.
Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift. He began DJ’ing weddings, and the rest is history.
Today Jamie Alberti operates DJ Casanova Productions and Lighting, allowing him to help people create the kind of high spirits and great memories on that most important day in their lives. When he’s not playing that perfect first-dance song or filling the dance floor, he’s helping share his experience and passion as he mentors the other DJs that participate in DJ Casanova events. DJ Casanova is always hustling, with a schedule that puts him at over 70 different weddings and events each year.

Caswell Senior (born October 27, 1986), known professionally as Casanova, is an American rapper born and raised in Brooklyn, New York.[1] In 2016, Casanova made his first original song 'Don't Run'.[2] He is currently signed to Roc Nation, LLC. In 2020, he was indicted on RICO and racketeering charges alongside 17 others due to various criminal activities his Bloods gang Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation allegedly participated in, including the murder of a 15-year old boy.
Early life[edit]
Casanova grew up in Flatbush, the youngest of ten from his mother and fourteen from his father. He is of Panamanian (mother) andHaitian (father) descent. He began getting into gang life at an early age and only stayed in school until the 8th grade. After years on the street, Casanova was arrested in 2006 and sentenced to prison. His cell mate in prison on Rikers Island, was later discovered to be rapper ASAP Rocky.[3][4] After serving nearly eight years, Casanova was released in the beginning of 2014. He is the father of two children, one girl and one boy. His daughter was born during his first months of incarceration and his son was born a year after his release.
Career[edit]
Whilst in a studio with friends in early 2016, Casanova, without previous experience, came up with 'Don't Run'. The song was produced by U-Dub (of NY Bangers).[5] Upon its release 'Don't Run' received heavy radio play from DJ Self on Power 105.1 in New York City,[6] and later also Power 105.1 and Hot 97 there. In June 2016, Casanova released the official video for 'Don't Run'.[7] Casanova was discovered by Memphis Bleek under Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation, Warehouse Music Group. In October 2016, Casanova officially signed his deal with Warehouse/Roc Nation.[8] In September 2016, Casanova released the single 'Line Me'[9][10] as well as a freestyle to Mobb Deep's 'Quiet Storm'.[11]
In 2017, Casanova released 'Don't Run' Remix featuring Young M.A, Fabolous, Dave East & Don Q.[12][13]He continues to put out music releasing 'The Old 50'[14][15] followed by his mixtape tape album 'Be Safe Tho'[16] featuring Chris Brown and LO on the song 'OHB'.[17] On February 8, 2018 he released 'Set Trippin' which addressed his beef with fellow New York artist Tekashi 69. He performed on the Party Tour with Chris Brown, 50 Cent, French Montana, Fabolous, O.T. Genasis and Kap G.[18][19] On June 29, 2018, Casanova released his debut EP Commissary with guest apparences G-Eazy, Rich the Kid, Snap Dogg, A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Mozzy.[20][21]
Legal issues[edit]
On December 1, 2020, prosecutors from the Southern District of New York Federal Court declared a warrant for the arrest of Casanova who they alleged was a leader within the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang. He was among 18 alleged members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang charged in connection with various racketeering, murder, narcotics, firearms and fraud offenses, officials said. The Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said: 'As alleged in the Indictment, members of Gorilla Stone committed terrible acts of violence, trafficked in narcotics, and even engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic'. The FBI apprehended 17 of the gang members, but Casanova was not detained and an arrest warrant was issued for him.[22][23][24][25] On December 2, 2020, Casanova surrendered to federal authorities.[26][27]
